What do headlight eyelids do
Thing is, I don't remember it being there but I'm pretty sure it wasn't. My questions are. Does anyone with eye-lids have this problem? If not, could my headlights be out of alignment after the hit and having the body shop taking them on and off a ton of times trying to get everything to fit right.
I wanna try and avoid peeling the eyelids off first because there on there pretty good Thanks for any help. I just noticed this tonight on the drive up so I figured I'd post now to get some info before I start messing with the eyelids or headlights. Last edited by Impulse; at AM.. I think the line was even across both lights just right in my eyeline.
I'm gonna try and align them tonight. I think I'd rather try that than risk snapping one of my eyelids taking them off, lol. The 3m tape I used to put them on is some sticky stuff. Thanks for the reply. I get no cutoff with my RBS eyelids on my If you have to remove them though, use a hairdryer to loosen the tape and take it slow and steady.
Thanks man, I'll try. Anyone else have any experience. Something else to add. When I put my high beams on along with my headlights it almost seems like you can see the line between where the headlight beam ends and where the high beam begins.
Sounds like misalignment. Not an issue with eyelids. Checked it last night again, they are def out of alignment. Thanks guys. Update, I took my car into the dealership for an oil change and asked him to check my headlights because I thought they were out of alignment Well, to my suprise he said they were fine and my eyelids were not affecting the beam either.
Even my wife commented on it how it looked weird and my wife doesn't know shit, lol. I'm gonna try and post some pics, but I need to find a really dark street. Should the beam cutoff be closer to the ground or above the windshield and high?
And while most wives don't know anything about cars they can spot certain basic things that they can see, mine does. As somebody outlined above, right passenger side is higher than left. Let me ask you guys this: When you have ur headlights on and u put ur brights on are you supposed to see the beam cutoff where the headlights end and where the highbeams begin?

Any ideas? Tags: None. March 18th, , PM. Plastidip the eyebrow layout and then on top of the plastidip put normal black paint on top Comment Post Cancel. Short of making an actual fiberglass piece that's painted black on the underside, that's probably the best way to do it. Real eye lids are made out of fiberglass or carbon fiber. They do not let light shine through. Vacuum form some black ABS over the head light, trim to suit and apply with 3M double sided trim tape. Thanks for all the suggestions folks.
I'm thinking ABS plastic thick enough not to let light through is going to look too thick and chunky sitting over a headlight. They're trying to avoid the cheap headlight cover look. The carbon fibre method sounds like the one with the most promise cause I'm thinking it'll probably have the ability to allow the least amount of light blead with the least thickness.
Would that be correct? Carbon fiber and fiber glass eyelids would be the same thickness depending on what weight mat and how many coats of resin used. Last edited by Bigboy ; March 19th, , AM. I doubt it would be possible to get a cleaner line using paint and its reversible too Also being that the marker light is maybe watts Im sure low wattage light like that would not pass through.
